How do Link Credits work?
Link Credits are used whenever your advert appears on other Plink profiles. Each visit to your Plink page earns you a Link Credit. You can use these Credits to advertise your business on other Plink pages. Every business who signs up to the FREE Plink service is automatically given 50 free advertising credits to start. How do I update my Plink profile?
Updating your Plink profile is no different to updating a Facebook profile. Simply log into your Plink page and update or edit your details live on the page. The service is completely free of charge and your Plink is instantly updated when you log out - It's as easy as that.
How can I get my Plink more exposure?
Getting your Plink found is essential. The more places your potential customers can find your profile, the more business you will generate. Although your FREE advert (adbox) is a great way of feeding people back to your profile, the most important shop window to appear in is Google.
Local Link Up has recently launched Plink Plus Results (PPR) - an innovative service allowing businesses to generate search phrases that they wish to be found for on Google. PPR offers the guarantee that if they don’t appear on Google's first page under that search phrase, then you don’t pay us a penny! Free Plink users can upgrade to PPR. Is there any incentive for referring friends/businesses to join Local Link Up?

How do i add a business to 'people I work with'?
You can search for any business using the search box within your Plink. You can send a request to link to a business (just like sending a facebook friend request) and the recipient can accept or decline your offer. If a customer accepts your offer, you will appear as a permanent advert on their profile page, and in return you display their business on your profile page. This feature has proven to be very popular with our existing members.
Can I put a link to my external website on my Plink profile?
Only if you upgrade to the Plink Plus Results (PPR) service. If you want to find out more, click here.
Can I add pictures to my Plink?
With Free Plinks, you can only add/update a profile image that represents your business. PPR users have access to a gallery feature within their Plink page, which allows them to display and update multiple images. If you really want to show your potential customers the quality of your work, you may want to look at our ProDesign service. How do I add my own pictures to my Plink Plus profile?
'Adding a picture on your Plink Plus profile can be done with three mouse clicks! When you log in to your Plink Plus profile, simply click on the image you wish to change in Gallery or Profile image, then it will bring up a small box where you can browse your documents for the picture you wish to use. Click on the picture you want to add from your documents – and then click Insert - It's that easy
If you experience any problems uploading an image, it may be down to the file size being too large, or the file type (PNG, JPG and GIF formats acceptable).

How long does it take for my Plink Plus to get found on the search engines?
Due to how Google adds websites, there is no exact timescale that we can give you on getting onto Google or even up on the first page. Usually, we have achieved results within days of submitting a website, but in the worst case scenario it can take up to 4-6 weeks. However, that is the beauty of the PPR service - We guarantee that you only pay for any key phrase when it gets your business displayed on the first page of Google only, otherwise it is completely free.
How long does it take for my Plink Plus to appear on Google Local (Places)?
Google Local (Places) is driven by Google’s internal refresh mechanism. When you sign up to PPR, we build your site and submit your new URL to Google local. The time it takes your URL to appear, can depend on when Google next refreshes. This can take between 4-6 weeks, although many customers find they are instantly updated. Google, rightfully, has various checks and balances in place to prevent misuse of the service, so this can also affect the speed in which your business appears.
How do I know if my key phrases are working on Google?
With PPR you can access your chosen key phrases performances through the Dashboard when you log in. It displays four key phrase reports per month so it will clearly show where each performance is chargeable, i.e. if you only appear on the top page of Google for 2 weeks in the month, we will only bill you for the 2 weeks and not the full month
How do I add or amend my key phrases?
The PPR service is completely flexible to your needs as a business. You can amend you key phrases at any time by contacting our account management team on 01524 230250. Our account managers also have access to search figures, so that you avoid removing phrases that are in demand.
How long does the design process take to build my ProDesign website?
From accepting a ProDesign, one of our designers will contact you within five working days to discuss the style and content you wish for your website. You will then need to provide the necessary content for all your pages to create your ProDesign (in most cases, we can use stock imagery if necessary). Only when we receive your content we can proceed to design your website. We will send an initial layout of your home page only. This is purely to get the design approved so we can adapt the style with the other pages. Please note - we will not build your Pro Design until you are entirely satisfied with the design. The whole design and build process can take up to 4 weeks, depending on number of pages and complexity of the design.
Once your site is up and running, we will contact you to let you know the good news. Remember, if there are any problems with your ProDesign, please speak to our Extreme Support Team on 01524 230 250.
If I am not happy with the design, what happens next?
Our experienced ProDesigners do their absolute best in getting the design of your website right first time! However, if there is any parts of the layout that you are not happy with, we are more than happy to go through them and make the relevant changes at no extra cost. You will receive a new design to approve and with the assurance that we will not proceed to build your site until you are 100% satisfied with the layout
How do I manage the content of my ProDesign website?
You can update the content of your website at any time using the ProDesign Console - Local Link Up's online Content Management System (CMS). With the Console, you can change images, text or even add or delete pages on your website. It is available to you when you log in. If you have any problems using ProDesign Console, please don’t hesitate in contacting our Extreme Support Team on 01524 230 250.
Can I add extra pages to my ProDesign site?
Yes, you can add pages using the ProDesign Console (see question above).
Can I add PayPal or eCommerce to my ProDesign site?
Local Link Up are constantly looking to improve ProDesign, including adding features such as PayPal and eCommerce. We intend to make these features available very soon to our customers.
