About Massage

Posted Saturday 22 Oct 2011 02:04 PM
Thank you for visiting my local link up page, a lot of you may have had massage at some point whether its for relaxation or to help with sore, aching muscles, there are so many benefits of massage therapy.

One of the oldest forms of healing in existence, massage has been used throughout history by all cultures. We all automatically respond to a sore area on our body by rubbing it to bring relief, this instinctual response has developed into what we know today as massage, fine-tuning the technique as a form of body therapy.

There are several factors that can contribute to pain and tension within the body. Stress, injury and even bad posture can all interfere with leading normal, pain free lives.
Massage therapy is a very effective way of dealing with such ailments, helping to bring relaxation, relief from tension, improvement in blood and lymph circulation and muscle tone, all aiding the body to remove toxins and deliver nutrients to tissues and cells more effectively. Massage also can help to reduce the recovery time from strains and trauma more quickly.
Regular treatments are one of best ways of preventing injuries by keeping muscles relaxed and nourished.

Massage therapy also helps you become more aware of your body ( your unconsciously held tension ). Becoming more aware helps you to recognize tension as it builds, allowing you to to consciously release it before it can have a negative effect on your body.
