The Strand Gallery is the most recent addition to the Proud Galleries
family. Formerly known as Proud Central and specialising in photography for 10
years, the gallery was re-branded in 2010 opening its doors to all mediums of
creative media, with an international, high profile programme of exhibitions
that launched with an inaugural show by Martin Parr.
A stone’s throw from Trafalgar Square and easily accessible both from
Charing Cross and Embankment Stations, the Strand Gallery is a superb and
competitively priced venue for holding events. Situated in the quiet John Adam
Street, the gallery maintains a sense of calm in the centre of a bustling
metropolis, providing and intimate evening reception space. Split across two
floors, it offers 1200 square foot of exhibition space including a catering
room, storage facilities and a state of the art LINN sound system.
